In this sense, FLY CORALway must be a real opportunity for Wallis and Futuna, part of a collective approach, carried by the Authorities and the Community as a whole, behind the Project Owner. It should also be noted that Wallis and Futuna is the only and last ultra-marine French territory without the legitimacy to control its air service:

  • affinity tourism (Wallisian and Futunian diaspora, friends of residents…)
  • business tourism (officials and employees on a “mission”) (very few)
  • recreational tourists
  • 1 or 2 daytime stops of small liners per year (Le Ponant)

The revitalization of the Wallis and Futuna air service will help to increase the number of visitors (all reasons for travel) and will promote the gradual structuring of the tourist offer (demand will motivate the sizing of supply) in all its components, including accommodation (Hotels, pensions and AIRBNB like), catering, transport and activities.

It is also necessary to position itself on a FRET offer in order to smooth out current under-supply traffic and allow more flexible pricing adapted to the carrying capabilities of our devices, modulated by an existing seasonality.
